David Bowie and Robert Plant were both famous, in distinctive ways, for their haircuts. They now meet in round two of our March Mullet Madness bracket, which focuses on a moment in time when their two singular styles overlapped.

We’ve lined up some of history’s most spectacular mullets and paired them off against each other for a series of tonsorial battles. We'll be halving the field every week based on your votes, until only the greatest mullet in rock ‘n’ roll history is left standing.

Bowie -- who died earlier this year after an undisclosed battle with cancer – swept past bassist Michael Anthony, of Van Halen and Chickenfoot, to advance, garnering 67 percent of your votes to 33 for Anthony.

Plant, meanwhile, posted a similarly easy win over Frank Beard, besting the ZZ Top stalwart by a vote of 66 to 34 percent. Now the Led Zeppelin legend must take on another member of rock royalty. Both Bowie and Plant wore their own iconic versions but, with very similar polling numbers coming in, something has to give.

So, which of these memorable mullets – the one worn by Ziggy Stardust or the Golden God's variant – gets your vote? If you just can’t decide, don’t worry — you can come back and keep voting once an hour between now and when the Round Two polls close on March 28 at 11:59PM ET. Our March Mullet Madness winner will be announced on April 12.
