The Waterloo Black Hawks and the Dubuque Fighting Saints each score a key road win to even up their respective USHL Conference Championship Series. On the line, a trip to the USHL Clark Cup Finals and a possible title.

On Sunday (April 30), Waterloo Black Hawks skater Yuki Miura netted an overtime winning goal in a 2-1 win over the Sioux City Musketeers. After each team scored a goal during the first period, it was lights out by both goaltenders. Robbie Beydoun made 30 saves for the win; Matiss Kivlenieks suffered the loss despite 33 saves.

Waterloo's Bailey Conger served up the puck to Miura at 6:47 into the overtime period, and that goal helped Waterloo tie up the best-of-five series at one game a piece.

The Western Conference Championship series returns to Waterloo for Game 3 on Friday. Game 4 will also be in Waterloo on Saturday.

On Saturday (April 29), the Dubuque Fighting Saints looked to rebound after losing the opening game of the Eastern Conference Finals, 4-3. Dubuque jumped out in front with two goals in the second period. They added one more in the third, and they cruised to the 3-1 Game 2 win.

With the Eastern Conference Finals series tied up at 1-1, both teams make their way to Dubuque for Game 3 on Friday. Game 4 is set for Saturday also in Dubuque.
