No. 9 Xavier stayed perfect on the season with a 64-42 home win over the UNI Panthers at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati on Saturday (Nov. 26, 2016).

The Musketeers (6-0 overall) held UNI to 12 first-half points and limited the Panthers to 32.6 percent shooting from the floor in a rematch of last weekend's Tire Pros Invitational championship in Orlando, Fla. Xavier won the first game, 67-59, on Sunday (Nov. 20).

UNI (3-2 overall) was led in scoring by Jeremy Morgan, who tallied all 14 of his points in the second half. Morgan added four blocks, three steals and three rebounds to stuff his stat line. Klint Carlson added 11 points and three rebounds in the road setback.

Xavier jumped to a 20-5 lead in the opening 10 minutes of the contest and held the Panthers to only four made field goals in the first half. The Musketeers dominated the glass with a 42-20 advantage in rebounding.

UNI clawed back to within 50-35 on a Morgan 3-pointer with 7:33 left in the game. However, Xavier extended the lead back to 22 points as the Panthers went scoreless for four minutes.

UP NEXT: UNI will be back in action at 7 p.m. Wednesday, when the Panthers host the George Mason Patriots at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls.
