Rain once again washed out several dirt track racing events this weekend. in early Friday afternoon and forced track officials to cancel the weekly racing program at Marshalltown and the MLRA late model races this weekend int he area.

Marshalltown Speedway was forced to scrap their racing program after heavy rain fell. Their regular weekly racing program will resume next Friday (May 20) at Marshalltown.

Fayette County Speedway cancelled races for Friday night. Racing resumes next Friday.

MLRA officials along with officials from the Dubuque and Deer Creek Speedways were also forced to cancel their scheduled programs. Dubuque Speedway was scheduled to host the traveling late model series on Friday, and the series planned to travel to Deer Creek Speedway Saturday.

As per the MLRA web site, "Efforts will be made to reschedule these events later on in the year."

Independence Motor Speedway was forced to cancel Saturday night's planned race. Racing resumes next Saturday night.

Upper Iowa Speedway cancelled Saturday's races. Racing resumes next Saturday night.
