Iowa High School Boys Basketball Rankings

Four teams from the Cedar Valley and Northeast Iowa are featured in the latest Associated Press Iowa high school boys basketball poll, released on Monday (Dec. 19, 2016). Two of the area squads are ranked No. 1.

For the third-straight week, Waverly-Shell Rock (5-0) leads the Class 3A survey, while Gladbrook-Reinbeck (4-0) is considered to be the best among the 10 teams rated in Class 1A. The Go-Hawks were a unanimous pick to be ranked No. 1.

The 3A poll features two other area teams. West Delaware (6-0) held on to its No. 3 ranking, while Charles City jumped into the top-10 for the first time this season. The Comets (5-0) debuted at No. 8.
