Four teams from the Cedar Valley and northeast Iowa are featured in this week's Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association rankings, released by the organization on Sunday (June 26, 2016).

The highest-rated team among the four is Don Bosco in Class 1A, a poll that also features Jesup at No. 8. Both squads have won nine-straight games. The Dons (25-3) and J-Hawks (20-5) are scheduled to play in Gilbertville on July 5. Newman Catholic of Mason City is the top 1A squad among the 10 rated.

The Class 2A survey has New Hampton at No. 3, two spots behind poll-leader Wilton. The Chickasaws (19-3) have won eight in a row, outscoring that group of opponents 92-24.

In Class 3A, West Delaware is on the verge of cracking the top five. The Hawks (20-4), who are averaging close to seven runs per game, are rated sixth in this week's poll. The 3A leader is Davenport Assumption.

No area teams are ranked among the top 10 in Class 4A. Johnston, a semfinalist at the 2015 state tournament, is considered the best team in Iowa's largest class.
