Former University of Northern Iowa football star David Johnson, now Arizona Cardinals running back, is still shining. He had another breakout game last night. This time it was on the Sunday night prime time stage.

During last night's Arizona at Philadelphia Sunday Night Football game on NBC, Johnson continued to make his case that he is a solid pick for the 2015 NFL Rookie of the Year. He scored three rushing touchdowns, tallied 187 rushing yard, and added another 42 yards catching three passes.

It's not just numbers that he's putting up, it's how he is fighting for every yard that is impressive. The announcers in this video clip (below) even compared this particular touchdown run in the second quarter as reminiscent of vintage Marshawn Lynch and his famed 'Beast Mode'.

The Cardinals have been dealing with a wave of injuries at the running back position, and Johnson has been given a golden opportunity to shine. He has started as the lead running back the last three games. During those games, Johnson has racked up 378 rushing yards, 94 receiving yards, and scored four touchdowns (3 rushing, 1 receiving).

Despite not being a featured running back through most of the year, Johnson is tied for fourth for most touchdowns scored (as of Dec. 20, 2015) across the entire league. He sits on top of that list as the leading rookie with 12 touchdowns (7 rushing, 4 receiving, & 1 return).

Johnson is only the second player in history to score four rushing, four receiving and a kick return touchdown as a rookie.

On Sunday night, the Cardinals clinched the NFC West Division title, so Johnson's impressive rookie season will continue into the playoffs.
