Townsquare Media Waterloo joins the fun on Saturday, January 21, 2017 for the 'Dainty Dog Dash' when the Waterloo Black Hawks host the Sioux Falls Stampede.

The Dainty Dog Dash, presented by Paw Prints Salon and NutriSource Pet Foods, is doggy race for the little dogs of the Cedar Valley. To be eligible, dogs must weigh 25 pounds or less. The Black Hawks are now excepting entries.

During the first intermission (subject to change), the cool canines will take the ice and race for glory and prizes. The $10 registration fee per dog will benefit the Cedar Bend Humane Society.

“It’s resolution time now that we’re into the New Year, and if your hound needs to lose a pound or two, training for this event might be just the ticket,” said Waterloo Black Hawks Vice President of Business Operations Joe Greene. “I would like to thank Paw Prints and NutriSource for their long-standing support of this event and for everything that they do to help Cedar Valley dogs look and feel great.”

The Waterloo Black Hawks are asking that all entries be submitted by Thursday, January 19.

All participating pooches will be monitored by Black Hawks staff at a check-in/check-out area throughout the entire evening. A kennel should be brought from home for each racer.

Each entered hound must be accompanied by two human representatives who will be on ice during the festivities. Game tickets will be available for $10 each for these assistants. For more information, please call the Black Hawks at (319) 232-3444.
