Davenport Deery & Independence Races Cancel for This Weekend

The IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series planned for Friday, April 8 at Davenport Speedway and the Saturday, April 9 season opener at Independence Motor Speedway both have been cancelled.

Wet track conditions coupled with an unfavorable weather forecast is to blame for both events being scrapped. No make up dates will be scheduled for either event.

The Independence Motor Speedway car show is still on as schedule.

The 2016 Deery Brothers Summer Series season opener will now open at West Liberty Raceway. The 30th annual Late Model tour features a $2,000 to win show this Saturday, April 9.

The Independence Motor Speedway 2016 season opener will now be on Saturday, April 16. The night will feature a $1,000 to win Late Model special. Weekly track (IMCA) rules will apply for this non-sanctioned late model event. IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods, & Hobby Stocks will compete for IMCA national, region, & state points. Also on the card are the Indee Cars. The 2016 Independence Motor Speedway schedule calls for weekly track point racing to start April 23.
