Class-1A Boys District Tournament Results – 02/25/2016

The district tournament began with 48 teams in the 16 districts playing first-round games on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016.

District champions advance to a sub-state championship game, then each of the eight sub-state champions advance to the Boys State Basketball Tournament, March 7-12, at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

District 1:

Championship: South O'Brien beat Siouxland Christian, 58-33

District 2:

Championship: Central Lyon beat Boyden-Hull, 58-53

SUBSTATE CHAMPIONSHIP: South O'Brien plays Central Lyon at LeMars - Saturday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.

District 3:

Championship: Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire beat St. Edmond, 52-50

District 4:

Championship: West Hancock beat AGWSR, 75-60

District 5:

Championship: Janesville beat West Fork, 53-50

District 6:

Championship: Jesup beat Alburnett, 51-49

SUBSTATE CHAMPIONSHIP: Janesville plays Jesup at Cedar Falls (McLeod Center) - Saturday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

District 7:

Championship: Easton Valley beat Lisbon, 85-51

District 8:

Championship: Danville beat Lone Tree, 67-56

District 9:

Championship: Gladbrook-Reinbeck beat Grundy Center, 67-43

District 10:

Championship:  Lynnville-Sully beat Meskwaki Settlement, 57-51
