Boone Speedway Postpones 50th Anniversary Race

Officials at Boone Speedway have decided to postpone this weekend's planned 50th Anniversary Race until July.

Boone Speedway (Boone, IA) had scheduled a special 50th Anniversary race for this Friday & Saturday (March 24-25, 2017). Citing the "unfortunate weather forecast" on their Facebook post, officials have made the tough decision to postpone the event.

The National Weather Service of Des Moines is calling for a 70% of ran on Friday. Even worse, the forecast for Boone, Iowa has a 90% chance of rain on Saturday.

At this time, a specific date has not been announced. They have narrowed the make up event date to the month of July. More details will follow.

The planned practice night for Thursday has also been cancelled.
