Eleven teams teams from the Cedar Valley and northeast Iowa are featured in the week's Iowa high school football poll, released by the Associated Press on Monday (Sept. 25, 2017).

As the top-rated eight-player team, Don Bosco (5-0) is once again the the highest ranked squad among the group. The Dons are ranked No. 1 for the fourth week in a row. Only two teams separate Don Bosco and Tripoli, which moved up to spots to No. 4 after being ranked at No. 7 last week.

Three area teams are ranked in the Class-A survey, with Gladbrook-Reinbeck (5-0) keeping a firm grip on the No. 2 spot. Also featured in the poll are Wapsie Valley (5-0) at No. 4 and Hudson (5-0) at No. 7.

Denver (4-1) moved up one spot in the Class-1A survey, jumping to No. 9 from No. 10 last week. Waukon (4-1) remains at No. 7 in Class-2A.

West Delaware (4-1) is a newcomer to the Class-3A rankings, debuting at No. 10. The Hawks are ranked two spots behind No. 8 Waverly-Shell Rock (5-0).

Cedar Falls (4-1) moved up one spot and cracked the top five in Class-4A. The Tigers are ranked at No. 5 this week.
