Community Foundation Announces 5 Scholarship Winners

The Waterloo Community Foundation has announced the winners of 5 scholarships

The Waterloo Community Foundation, in partnership with POS, a Waterloo-based company specializing in patient communication services, announces the award of 5 student scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each for post-secondary education. Recipients are:

• James Kingsley, attending Iowa State University
• Grace Haley, attending Hawkeye Community College
• Kristen Boyle, attending Hawkeye Community College
• Jacob Haley, attending Mt. Mercy University
• Rachael Schaefer, attending University of Iowa

Since the program’s inception in 2001, $75,000 in scholarship awards have been given. Mike Williams, POS President, states “that post-secondary education is very important, whether it’s technical education, liberal arts, or other types of education. We also know that the cost of education is very expensive, and we at POS want to help our employees cover some of this expense.”
