A Charles City tavern may want to consider changing it's name, after a train jumped the tracks and crushed a portion of the building early this (Tuesday, Aug. 9) morning.

The accident happened at about 4am, when Canadian Pacific crews were moving rail cars and changing connections.

The track apparently separated, and one of the grain cars tipped partially over, crushing a corner of a nearby building that houses a tavern, called "Derailed".

Charles City's police chief got a call from a patrol officer, stating that a train had derailed, into Derailed.

No one was injured, but damages to the bar are estimated at $10,000; the business is closed until repairs can be made. At least one city street was blocked for a while early today.
