Fayette County sheriff's officials continue to investigate an accident involving an all-terrain-vehicle that happened just over a week ago.

Just before 4:30 p.m. on July 3, officers were called to a rural Elgin property, the site of a four-wheeler accident.

Joseph Daughton, 52, of Clermont, was riding his vehicle, with a passenger, up a steep incline, when it rolled over backward, on top of him.

The passenger was not hurt, but Daughton had to be taken to Palmer Hospital in West Union, by the Fayette ambulance.

According to the sheriff's officials, the incident is still under investigation, and charges are pending.
