A reconstruction project has forced the partial closure of College Street in Cedar Falls, beginning today (Thursday, July 23, 2015).

Workers have begun the process of rebuilding College Street from 14th to 17th streets. In order for the contractor to begin pavement removal, a full road closure is required.

Cedar Falls city officials said the four-block closure of College Street be will be in effect for 10 to 12 weeks, depending on the weather. The intersections at 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th streets will all be closed until the project is complete.
