Cedar Falls Police Seek the Public’s Help in Identifying Suspect in Credit Card Fraud

Cedar Falls Police are asking for the public’s assistance to help identify a suspect from a credit card fraud investigation. On October 11th, a resident reported to police that he had lost his wallet which had had been inadvertently left on top of his car. The victim later discovered that his wallet was missing and contacted his financial institution. Nearly $2,400.00 of purchases had been made with his card in a 5 hour time period.

Twelve purchases were made at seven different Waterloo businesses: Advanced Auto, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, AT&T, Kwik Star, Family Dollar, and Jims Food and Liquor.

The photos of the suspect are from store surveillance cameras. The male is using a cane in several of the photos and videos that were collected as part of the investigation.
