Cedar Falls Police Investigate Weekend Accident

Late Sunday night (Sept. 4th) Cedar Falls Police were called to an accident involving a car and motorcycle.

Around 10:00 P.M., Cedar Falls Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 1400 block of Rainbow Drive. It was determined that a westbound vehicle struck a westbound motorcycle on Rainbow Dr. as the motorcycle was slowing or stopped on Rainbow Dr.

The driver of the motor vehicle was identified as Kayla Ginther, 20, of 118 Four Seasons Dr. Waterloo, IA. Ginther was not injured in the accident and was charged with OWI 1st offense and transported to the Black Hawk County Jail.

The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Cory Goecken, 21, of 705 Maynard Ave. Waterloo, IA. Goecken was transported to Allen Hospital and treated for head injuries. Goecken's conditions has not been released.
