Cedar Falls Police solved several auto thefts with the arrest of one man.  Cedar Falls Police were dispatched to 422 Heritage Rd in reference to the theft of a 1999 Honda Civic. Later in the morning the stolen vehicle was discovered occupied by a male adult parked and running in the 4200 blk Spruce Hills Dr. The male was detained and subsequent investigation into the incident led to the arrest of the subject and also led to a search warrant being served at his place of residence. Evidence discovered during the execution of the warrant allowed police to file charges in the theft of four motor vehicles and the burglary of five vehicles. Marijuana was also located during the search. The thefts occurred in a 5 day period from Saturday, March 22nd through today.

Tarkett is charged with 4 counts Theft 2nd which is a Class D felony, 5 counts of Burglary 3rd which is a aggravated misdemeanor and 1 count of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) which is a serious misdemeanor.
