The IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series made their annual Memorial Day stop at the Boone Speedway on May 26, 2014. It was an exciting feature that say Ray Guss Jr. and Jason Rauen battling for the $3,000 payday right to the very end.
Memorial Day Weekend has always been a great weekend to catch some dirt track racing in Iowa. Dirt racing fans in the Cedar Valley once again have plenty of great options to choose from this weekend. There are eleven exciting options all within a two-hour drive.
The University of Iowa Stephen A. Wynn Institute for Vision Research announced that Lazier Partners Racing and supporters have partnered to raise awareness for the institute’s research by providing the lead sponsorship of an Indianapolis 500 race car. Buddy Lazier, the 1996 Indy 500 winner, will drive the No. 91 University of Iowa Stephen A. Wynn Institute for Vision Research Dallara/Chevrolet/Firestone car in the 98th running of the 500-mile race.
