Car vs Farm Equip. Fatality in Delaware County, with I.D.

We now know the name of a 20 year old Edgewood resident who died in an accident involving farm equipment.

It happened shortly after 6pm Monday, on Highway 38, on the south edge of the city limits of Greeley. A northbound car struck the rear of a John Deere silage chopper; the car then caught fire.

The driver of the car, now identified as 20 year old Timothy Greene of Edgewood, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the chopper, 56 year old Richard Bockenstedt of Greeley, was treated at the scene and released.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Delaware County Sheriff, Greeley Fire Department, and Edgewood Ambulance.
