Two people have been arrested in connection with burglaries in Bremer and other northern Iowa counties.

The investigation began on January 13th, when Bremer County deputies were called to a break-in at a home northwest of Waverly. Information from a traffic stop by the Floyd County sheriff provided information to identify two suspects.

Meanwhile, the investigation continued, which included incidents in Floyd, Worth and Cerro Gordo counties.

Last Friday, officers from multiple agencies executed search warrants at 5 different locations, in Mason City and Northwood. Items taken in some of the reported burglaries were found.

One of the suspects, 28 year old Lover Dandre Montgomery of Mason City, was arrested and charged with various counts of theft and burglary in Floyd, Bremer, and Worth Counties, as well as Mason City.

Then on Monday night, a second suspect was arrested in Mason City. 36 year old Eric Devonte Brown of Northwood is charged with possession of stolen property and use of a stolen credit card.

The case remains under investigation and more charges are expected.
