A combined 19 runs were scored in Game 3 of the 2015 American League Championship Series. Despite a four-run 9th inning, the Kansas City Royals fell to the Toronto Blue Jays, 11-8, in Toronto.

It was the third time in Blue Jays history that they scored 10 or more runs in an MLB Postseason game. The loss snapped the Royals' nine-game ALCS winning streak. The MLB record is 10 held by the Balitmore Orioles (1969-1971).

The Royals still lead the best-of-seven series, 2-1. Game 4 is set for this afternoon (Oct. 20, 2015) at 2:00 PM-CT in Toronto. Coverage begins at 2:00 PM-CT on FOX Sports 1.

It was a rough night for KC's Johnny Cueto. He became the first starting pitcher in the postseason to give up eight runs, all earned, while only recording six or fewer outs. Toronto's Troy Tulowitzki and Josh Donaldson each hit third inning homeruns against Cueto. Ryan Goins added another in the fifth.

The bright spot for the Royals came off of the bat of Alcides Escobar. Escobar had a four-hit game including one triple and scored three times.

GAME 4 PREVIEW: Chris Young will take the mound this afternoon for Kansas City. R.A. Dickey gets the start for Toronto.

Young gave up one run in 11.333 innings across his last two regular season starts. His last postseason action came 12 days ago where he gave up one run in four innings of work in Game 1 of the NLDS.

Dickey is coming off a 4.667 innings effort allowing only one run during Game 4 of the ALDS. The roof will be closed at Rogers Centre, and that will play into the knuckleball pitcher's favor.

The Blue Jays avoided a big hole last night with the 11-run win in Game 3 of the ALCS. They showed how dangerous they can be at home, and sent a solid message to the Royals to not count them out just yet. Only three teams have been able to advance to the championship after falling into a 2-0 deficit in a best-of-seven series.

The fact that KC got a five-inning relief effort from Kris Medlen was huge. That allowed manager Ned Yost to not have to burn through his bullpen saving them for today's Game 4.
