A bus ride was no obstacle Friday (August 21, 2015) as the traveling portions of the Waterloo Black Hawks and Madison Capitols each won in split squad action Friday evening.

In Madison, a late three-goal spurt vaulted the visiting Hawks to a 4-2 win. Vaclav Krudenc sparked the rally with a game-tying goal, followed by markers from Liam Pecararo and Ryley Risling. Dylan Mills scored the early Waterloo.

Meanwhile in Waterloo, the Capitols seized the lead with two opening period tallies, en route to a 4-1 decision. Cole Hults assisted on both first period scores for the visitors and finished the night with three assists. Brandon Schultz buried a Black Hawks chance less than five minutes into the third, making the score 3-1, but Waterloo could draw no closer.

The same matchups will be repeated Saturday at 3:05 p.m., however the teams which traveled will play on home ice for the rematches.
