The Waterloo Black Hawks have a brick wall in front of net now in the talent of Goaltender Cale Morris. Just weeks after joining the Hawks, Morris garners another USHL award.

For the 2nd time since joining Waterloo, Morris has been named USHL CCM Goaltender of the Week.

Cale Morris, G, Waterloo Black Hawks:  The 18-year-old allowed just one goal over three appearances, posting a 0.33 goals-against-average and .988 save percentage to help the Black Hawks earn five of six points in the standings.  He turned away all 21 shots he faced to earn the shutout in Friday’s 5-0 win over the Madison Capitols.  Morris then made 25 saves in Saturday’s 1-0 overtime loss to the Tri-City Storm.  He closed out the weekend with another shutout, stopping all 34 shots in the 3-0 win against the Storm.  It was his third shutout since being acquired by Waterloo in mid-January from the Chicago Steel.  The goaltender has posted a stellar 6-1-1 record with a 1.00 GAA and .960 SV% with the Black Hawks.  The native of Larkspur, Colorado is a product of the Colorado Thunderbirds youth organization and is currently uncommitted to a college hockey program.
