I've been fishing for northern pike for a VERY long time. For as long as I can remember. For that period of time, I've always remembered how difficult it is to remove that irritating "Y" bone from a northern.

Getting rid of that "Y" bone makes it easier to cook and, more importantly, easier to chomp on when it's cooked and ready to eat.

Thanks to pikeslayer46 and the invention of Youtube. Here's a good way to properly clean a northern pike and get rid of that pesky "Y" bone. When you're done, don't forget to log onto tinyurl.com/fishiowa and update or get a new fishing license online with the Iowa DNR. Yep, you can get that license online now and skip the lines.
