Authorities Look for Stolen Wheels

Authorities in Johnson County are asking for the public's help in the investigation of the theft of four wheels off of a disabled car.

The incident happened last Sunday, January 17th; a motorist's car broke down along Highway 218 at the 86 mile marker, which is near the Hills exit, just before 1am.

The Chevy Lumina was left on the side of the road until the motorist returned at about 3:30pm Sunday. The owner discovered that all four tires were stolen from the car.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who may have witnessed the theft, to contact them with any information available.
