It's hard to believe it's been over 25 years since I started delivering the news at KOEL-AM! We have seen and heard a lot of changes over that time. Many friendly voices/faces have come and gone. And on a personal note, for my wife and I, it has been nearly 40 years of wedded bliss, both of our daughters are grown and gone, and the family continues to evolve. And I still take a little time each year to play tennis, take pictures (most of them during our vacation, to scenic midwest destinations), cheer on the Packers, watch a few movies, and attend an occassional rock concert with my best friend: my wife! Thanks to all of you faithful listeners over the years; I hope to be your morning (radio) companion for years to come!

Man Points Gun at Civil Paper Server

A rural Waverly man faces charges after he allegedly pointed a gun at a person who was serving him civil papers.

The incident happened Friday at a rural Waverly home.

According to the Bremer County Sheriff, a civil process server was trying to serve civil papers, when he was confronted by 57 year old Bruce Alan Johnston, who was pointing a gun at him

Charges Filed in Cycle Chase/Crash

Buchanan County authorities have now filed charges in connection with a motorcycle chase back in June.
