A trip to the Iowa High School boys state basketball tournament is a familiar routine for Waverly-Shell Rock. The Go-Hawks will be making their fifth-straight appearance when the 32-team, four-class event is staged in Des Moines next week.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck is going to the Iowa High School boys state basketball tournament for the first time as a consolidated program, while Aplington-Parkersburg earned its first trip to Des Moines in 12 years.

The Wartburg men and women are both one win away from qualifying for the Division-III NCAA basketball tournaments. Each team recorded upset victories in conference tournament play Thursday night (February 26, 2015).
