An area resident has been arrested on an outstanding warrant.

At about 5pm Wednesday (Dec. 28), the Fayette County Sheriff received a 911 call, regarding a disturbance at a resident just north of Oelwein, on Palace Road.

In the course of the investigation, officers found that 30 year old Lessie Proctor of Oelwein had a valid arrest warrant from Black Hawk County for failing to serve jail time.

Proctor was taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail before being turned over to Black Hawk County.

The original charge for the warrant was Driving While License Barred.

Fayette County Deputies were assisted by the Oelwein Police Department.
