INDEPENDENCE POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR A SUSPECT INVOLVED IN THE ARMED ROBBERY OF A RESTAURANT.

IT HAPPENED JUST BEFORE 11PM WEDNESDAY, AT THE PIZZA RANCH RESTAURANT, LOCATED AT 1900 1ST STREET WEST IN INDEPENDENCE.

A MAN, DESCRIBED AS WHITE WITH NO FACIAL HAIR AND WEARING A HOODIE SWEATSHIRT, CONFRONTED AN EMPLOYEE OUTSIDE OF THE BUSINESS, AT THEIR VEHICLE, POINTED A GUN DIRECTLY AT HER, AND ORDERED HER TO TURN OVER THE BANK DEPOSIT BAG.

AFTER GETTING THE BAG, THE SUSPECT FLED ON FOOT EAST, THROUGH RUSH PARK TRAILER PARK, AND BEHIND THE RUSH PARK MOTEL.

THE AMOUNT OF CASH STOLEN HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED, AND NO ARRESTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED.

THE SUSPECT WAS DESCRIBED AS 20-30 YEARS OLD, 5'9, SLENDER, WEARING A BLACK HOODIE, BLUE JEANS, AND BLACK RUBBER GLOVES. THE GUN HE WAS ARMED WITH, WAS DESCRIBED AS A SHORT-BARRELED REVOLVER WITH A DULL FINISH, POSSIBLY A .38 CALIBER.
