A Clarksville woman has died in a two-vehicle accident in Butler County.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident happened on County Road C-33 east of Clarksville at about 8 a.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 12, 2017).

Officials said a sport utility vehicle, driven by 49-year-old Dannette Hildebrand, attempted to pass another vehicle, driven by 81-year-old David Kramer, also of Clarksville. Kramer had slowed to turn left into a private farm drive, and when Hildebrand tried to pass him, the vehicles collided. Hildebrand's SUV then rolled numerous times.

Hildebrand died from her injuries; she was not wearing a seatbelt. There was no word if Kramer was hurt.

The accident remains under investigation.
