Northeast Iowa Man Injured, Charged In Fayette County Rollover

A northeast Iowa man suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle rollover accident in Fayette County Friday morning (July 6, 2018).

Sheriff's officials said Kirk Vigen, 49, of St. Olaf, was charged with failure to maintain control of his vehicle following the crash, which occurred around 8:15 AM.

According to authorities, Vigen lost control of his sport utility vehicle while driving north on Deerfield Road west of Postville. His 2006 Hummer SUV ended up in a ditch near the 310th Street intersection.

Fayette County deputies were assisted at the scene by the Postville Fire Rescue, Clermont Fire Rescue, and Clermont Ambulance Service.
