Area Man Arrested After Hit-and-Run Incident

A local man, allegedly involved in a hit-and-run, has been located and arrested.

Shortly after 5pm Thursday (Dec. 29), Oelwein Police were called to the intersection of 1st Avenue and 7th Street NE, on a reported hit-and-run accident.

Officers then found the offender, and placed him under arrest. He was identified as 25 year old Jacob Bond of Oelwein. Bond is being charged with OWI 1st Offense, which is a Serious Misdemeanor.
