Authorities have filed charges against another person allegedly involved in a theft ring, which stole thousands of dollars from a Northeast Iowa resident.

The Fayette County Sheriff determined that over the last two months, more than half-a-dozen people took advantage of a West Union resident, claiming to be his caretaker and do repair work around his home.

Charges have now been filed against a 7th person, identified as 45 year old Chad Palmer of Elgin. Palmer is alleged to have possessed and sold some firearms that belong to the victim. An arrest warrant was issued, charging Palmer with Possession of a Firearm as a Felon.

He is still at-large. Anyone with information on Palmer's whereabouts is asked to contact the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
