The winner of the 9th season of 'America's Got Talent' was announced last night. Magician Mat Franco was crowned the winner during the live finale at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Franco, the first magic act to win the competition, walked away with the $1 million grand prize and a headlining spot at the “America’s Got Talent Live” show at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on September 26th and 27th. He'll be joined by the other finalists. Franco beat out singer Emily West of Waterloo, IA.

A few hours after the show concluded, Emily West thanked all her fans that voted her.  She also announced a new album project via her Facebook page.

Emily West teaming up with Cyndi Lauper earlier in the show for a version of Lauper’s “True Colors.”
