Accident Ends With Car Trapped Between Creek Banks

Fayette County sheriff's officials are investigating an unusual accident that happened in the Volga River Recreation Area on New Year's Eve.

Authorities received a call about a vehicle in the ditch shortly after 3 PM on Monday (Dec. 31, 2018). When deputies arrived, they found a car pinned between the banks of the creek.

The vehicle's owner, Jie Teng of Fayette, was trapped inside the car. Teng, 23, was treated for minor injuries after being rescued from. His 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse was totaled.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by the Fayette Ambulance and Fire Department.
