Def Leppard made a big news splash this morning, and they confirmed the rumors we had been reading about for the past month. They're touring, and they're coming to Iowa.

After weeks of speculating that they were going to tour, Def Leppard posted a video on their social media pages this morning with three big announcements, which included confirmation that they are hitting the concert trail in 2018. The Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines will host the mega-show in July.

The first big news item they hit us with was that we can now download and stream their entire catalog of songs. Def Leppard's web site bills this monumental moment as unbelievable.

"Do you believe it? Def Leppard’s full catalog of Diamond, Platinum & Multi-Platinum iconic albums is available to stream and download for the first time EVER globally!"

Then the video spilled the beans that Def Leppard will tour in 2018 with co-headliner Journey. No word yet who will play first (Journey or Def Leppard). Either way, this will be one 'classic' rock concert to attend.

JOURNEY AND DEF LEPPARD CONCERT:

  • WHEN: Monday, July 23, 2018 at 7:00 PM
  • WHERE: Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa
  • TICKETS: Prices are TBD, on-sale is TBD.

Checking a list of all the cities on this morning's press release includes a July 23, 2018 stop at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. The Wells Fargo Arena web site has yet to post ticket prices or confirm an on-sale date, but we discovered on the band's web site that tickets go on-sale February 3rd for most concert dates.

If you've been dying to jump across the pond, then the third announcement might intrigue you. They returning to their homeland of merry ole England for a series of concert dates with Cheap Trick.
