2016 Gran Fondo Cedar Valley

97.7 KCRR is a proud sponsor of the 2016 Gran Fondo Cedar Valley and the 2016 FondoFest. 

Along side Community Main Street, the Iowa Bike Coalition and Cedar Falls Tourism & Visitors Bureau we are proud to present the second annual Gran Fondo Cedar Valley bike ride & FondoFest street festival on August 20, 2016!

The Gran Fondo Cedar Valley is the Cedar Valley’s first and only gran fondo cycling event. Riders will have the option to bike a 100 mile or 60 mile course, which provides an opportunity for riders of any skill level to participate. Routes will begin and end in downtown Cedar Falls and include great stops in area communities along the way. Registration for the Gran Fondo Cedar Valley is now live at www.granfondocedarvalley.com.

Stick around after the ride as we shut down Main Street for live music, a beer garden, children’s activities, giveaways, local eats and more during the second annual FondoFest street festival!

NEW THIS YEAR, we’ve partnered with The Gym to bring a CrossFit competition to downtown Cedar Falls! Come check out the competition from 9am-1pm.

Beer garden, featuring Iowa craft brews from SingleSpeed Brewing, opens at noon with a live DJ. Local bands, including Checker and the Bluetones, will take the stage later that afternoon!

There’s plenty of fun for the kiddos too! Bring them down from 4-7pm to enjoy the kid’s FUNdo area, featuring facepainting, balloon animals, inflatables, and Strider bike obstacles. Plus, we’re giving away two free Strider bikes courtesy of Scheels!
