Cedar Valley youth baseball players & teams will have a couple of options to get a few more games in before the winter season blows in.  A six week baseball league and a weekend tournament tops the list of options.

The Full Count Sports Academy (Cedar Falls) will host its annual Fall wood bat league. Whether your are from the Waterloo Metro or not, this is a great league open to teams and/or players.

Play begins on Saturday, September 6, 2014. They are currently excepting team & individual player registration. Hurry, space is limited. There is only room for six (6) teams per age classification.

Wood bats while batting will be required by all players. Full Count will provide Umpires and provide baseballs.  All kids will bat at each game. USSSA rules will be used.

The Heat Baseball Club (Waterloo) will put on the 2014 Heat Sandlot Classic.  This tournament is slated for August 23-24, 2014 in Waterloo.  Game times will be scheduled with youth football games in the Waterloo Metro in mind.  This will allow players to participate in both.

This will be a USSSA sanctioned tournament. Registration is open now. Hurry, spots are starting to fill up fast. Teams will play in their 2015 age division, so this will be a great chance to start earning USSSA points for the 2015 season.

The plan was to try and plan for "A/AA" and "AAA/Major" divisions for each age group 11-14. This may some pending the number of teams that register.
