An accident involving 2 semis in Floyd County has sent two people to the hospital.

It happened just before midnight Sunday, at the intersection of Highway 18 and Lancer Avenue, just west of Floyd.

A semitrailer truck driven by 21 year old Jared Johanns of Osage, pulled out into the path of another semi, driven by 48 year old Albert Wempe of Watertown, Wisconsin.

Both semis were totaled; both drivers were taken to a Mason City hospital, where

Johanns was treated and released. Wempe is reported in good condition.

Johanns is being charged with failure to obey a stop sign.
