2 Men Arrested for Burglarizing Eastern Iowa Gas Station

Two men have been arrested for breaking into an Eastern Iowa gas station.

The incident happened at about 12:30am Sunday at the Riverside Gas Station in Bellevue.

Two men entered the business and stole $2,000 in cash, packages of cigarettes, and some fishing items.

After investigating, on Wednesday a search warrant was executed at a home in Green Island by Bellevue Police and Jackson County Sheriff.

As a result, 28 year old Wayne Blackedge and 29 year old Gerald Schabacker were arrested on a charge of burglary, third degree. Both were held in the Jackson County Jail.
