The Cedar Falls Police arrested two individuals today (Friday, Nov. 10th) on two charges after receiving a call from a local department store. 

At around 11:00 A.M. this morning (Friday, Nov. 10th), the Cedar Falls Police were called to Von Maur, located at 1000 College Square Mall, for a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, Cedar Falls Officers met with Loss Prevention employees, who identified two female subjects that were stealing multiple items from the store. When the two subjects left the store, they were confronted by officers, they then fled back into the store, where officers later apprehended them inside the Mall. Cedar Falls Officers seized over $4,000.00 worth of clothing belonging to Von Maur from a Shalyer Tiyanna Arrington and a Shimirio Shivell Arrington. Both were taken into custody.

  • Shimirio Shivell Arrington DOB: 7/9/1989, was charged with 2nd Degree Theft a Class "D" Felony and Interference With Official Acts a Simple Misdemeanor

A criminal charge is an accusation and the Defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
