Two people have been arrested at a rural Oelwein home, after authorities were called out to help an investigation by the Department of Human Services.

The incident happened Thursday, Oct 19 at a home on "T" Avenue, just west of Oelwein. Fayette County deputies who were assisting the DHS, made entry into the home, and arrested 31 year old Matthew Wilkinson of Independence. Wilkinson was wanted for escaping from the Waterloo Residential Facility.

27 year old Courtney Roose of Oelwein was also arrested, charged with being an accessory after the fact, and three counts of refusing to assist an officer.

Both were taken to the Fayette County jail in West Union. The case remains under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff and Department of Human Services and more charges could be filed.
